Becoming passionate about Chianti is not the least bit difficult once you visit the area. It's one of the most timeless and unspoiled places in Italy. Hilly landscape of vines, olive groves, stately cypress trees, wooded areas, old farmhouses, and lordly castles.
At the first winery we are going to visit the cellars and
receive a full explanation of the wines and other specialties that
are produced. You will taste the wines of the winery which will
typically include at least Chianti Classico regular, Chianti Classico
Reserve and the famous Super Tuscan.
Afterwards we will move in a typical restaurant to have a lunch.
This is a very nice typical restaurant that offer some good local
specialities.
In the afternoon we will visit another winery, highly rated by influential
wine publications.

This is the programme
- 9:30 a.m. Departure from Florence (on request pick-up at Siena)
- 11:00 a.m. Arrival in Chianti area and visit to the first winery, where you can meet the wine grower who will show you the techniques of viticulture. Wine tasting.
- 01:00 p.m. Light lunch at the local restaurant or in a winery.
- 02:45 p.m. Driving along the hills where you can see the different type of vineyard.
- 03:30 p.m. Visit to the second winery, where you can visit the cellar and in the end you have a wine tasting.
- 04:30 p.m. Return to Florence at approx. 5 p.m.
